ohh yes, you made it! AFTER every surgery I've had, i always gain. it's just inflammation. it too will pass but slowly. Anesthesia makes ya constipated. i always take magnesuim at night. 500-1000 mg will really help get ya going. if not just call your doc for laxitive. totally normal after surgery. i do hope your pain level is lower

I had cancer as a teenager and the hospital I was treated in gave laxatives automatically because they said everyone gets constipated during hospital stays. Good luck on the BM front and heal well. ❤️‍🩹 

Also, pain meds can make you constipated, too. I had a family member who was on pain medicine long-term for a chronic pain condition and she has chronic constipation now. So if you're on pain medicine, you might need laxatives.
