I am just struggling. Losing my sister and sending my son off to college in the same week have done a number on my mental health. I am doing well with working out because it's an outlet for those emotions...picture me crying on the treadmill to "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart"...but food choices and tracking are another thing. And getting that water in. I'm mostly drinking caffeine and alcohol.

I'm back to work tomorrow after bereavement leave, then off on a cruise, which I desperately need right now. Once we get back, I'm planning to really refocus.

On a good note, still no gain. I am proud of myself for maintaining in this season. And it should be noted that I've now reached the goal I initially set for myself which was 185lbs. I am super proud of that and need to remind myself of what I've accomplished so far! I've lost 75 pounds and regardless of what I'm doing right now, that is absolutely something to celebrate!

Well done Mel on reaching your goal. Life throws us curveballs for sure. I too am struggling, and am trying to keep in mind that what has passed is now in the past. Always part of the new present, yet irrevocably changed. Easier said than done, as grief creeps in, but also a reminder that we have our one shot at living our best life. Self care, of health, both mental and physical, are cornerstones to making this happen. Take care of yourself.

I think you look great. Congratulations on your accomplishment. I never thought I would be able to lose weight either. I am 59 and have been over 325 lbs forever. Have lost 56 lbs so far so yes even at this age it can be done. Keep going and stay strong. I’m very proud of you….
