I found out yesterday that my childhood friend passed away at 47 in her sleep. My heart goes out to her family. She has a husband and 2 young adult daughters who are missing her today.

On the other hand, if you have to go, that's a great way to do it. No pain, no sickness, no fear. I'm grateful I knew her. She changed the lives of everyone she encountered.

It reinforces my intention to love those in my life so well that there are no regrets. You just never know.

So sorry to hear of your loss. At 53 I realize life is short, and you never know what the next week/day/hour/minute may bring. I strive to make the most of life and let friends and family know they are loved and appreciated at all times. It can be so hard to keep things in perspective as "life" can get in the way....

I'm so sorry to hear that Newnormal. I am sending you love and sympathy. I had a cousin who was a few years younger than me. She went to bed one night after having dinner at a friends house and just never woke up again. There was an autopsy but a cause of death was never found. They chalked it up to sleep apnea. But the sorrow her family felt was very deep.
