I am in so much pain. My legs hurt my back hurts everything hurts! When I am stressed I eat, junk food, when I am in pain I eat, junk food. I am trying so hard not to eat right now. Then all those thoughts creep in like well you are at a good weight you feel fine, you look good, you dont have to lose anymore. Or the thoughts like, well you will just stay the same weight and then tomorrow you can work harder and get the rest off. GRRRR!!!!!

I am struggling right now. Really struggling, all I want to do is eat. I tried playing a couple of computer games but all I see in my peripheral vision is the kitchen and I know whats in there. Even if stuff wasnt in there my husband is an awesome cook and would make me some dessert and if that failed there is always the store down the street that has candy.

I dont know what to do. Every fiber of my being wants to give in and go to that kitchen. So much so I have to pee and refuse to get up. I guess we will all find out what I did tomorrow.

I understand what you mean about the thoughts when you want to eat and it's not time to eat. mine are: "ok, so it will take one more day to reach your goal..." but those thoughts are wrong, because they lead us on the wrong way. you don't want to eat now, what you want is not feeling the pain anymore. go take a bath, go to bed, try to read a book. don't stay in the kitchen!!! tomorrow morning you'll be proud of you if you didn't eat and you'll start you day on a positive state of mind. I wish you good luck, be strong!

What about eating something healthy? Maybe you are genuinely hungry. I read this thing the other day about good eating tips for kids. One was, "If you're not hungry enough to eat an apple, you're not hungry." I keep thinking about this. If I'm not hungry to eat a bowl of beans or carrots and hummus, then I'm not really hungry. If we are just craving junky stuff and don't want to eat carrots and hummus or an apple with some almond butter, etc., then we are really craving something else (love, attention, excitement, artistic expression, whatever) and we need to think about and figure out a way to "feed" that other part of ourselves.

First, I am sorry you are hurting. Pain is so difficult to deal with. How about a hot bath or shower? Sometimes I feel better when I am hurting just by doing that?? If you are really hungry there is nothing wrong with eating, if you are doing so emotionally sometimes recognizing it is half the battle-sometimes giving yourself permission is necessary too. Take out one serving of what ever you are wanting and try to keep it at that??? Ok, maybe I am not helping so much but it works for me. Yes, it slows progress in the weight loss dept but over all health and happiness is what is most important, no? The number on the scale does not define you. How you feel does. {{{{hugs}}}
