Ok so two days of sugar and carbs and crap and I feel horrible. I can't breathe my head hurts I feel confused and gross and my body aches. Back to SB style for the moment until I can do more research this weekend. Had my coffee this am with Splenda and almond milk and actually preferred it to my peppermint mocha sugar filled coffee mate that I always used to use (gobs of it) and have been using the past couple days. I noticed I didn't even finish my coffee this am and didn't need to. I think I just liked the sugar before .... Had turkey sausage and c8 for breakfast ... Feel better already. B

Haha crap likes me. Well that does describe my choice in husbands .... Lol. But don't you feel better after eating healthier? At all?

Sugar is so enticing. But once you're able to break its hold, it is amazing how much better you'll feel. I just didn't realize after I gave up junk sugar that carbs like whole wheat sourdough & milk would still be enough sugar to hurt me. Fermented milk products don't seem to be a problem. Since I started eating mostly meat & green veggies & eggs, my belly is leaving & I feel better than I have in years. If we could just build good enough habits that we'd never eat or drink crap again! That's my goal.

Glen - haha! so true. Sometimes feeling better feels worse, not because it actually feels worse, but because it feels different. People always resist change.

Carbs are evil!! Well, refined carbs anyway. Kick that dang sugar, pasta, and bread to the curb!!

Glen I totally get that. It's like being dragged towards adulthood kicking and screaming lol. I'm 46 and still not ready!! I'm the same way emotionally I have to stop myself from using the same habits I've used for years to self sabotage and ruin things for myself. I think we have to love ourselves to want to do good for ourselves and I think that all of us who've been overweight our whole lives struggle with that. And it's easy to act childish and fall back on what is comfortable even if it's bad for us. (Like chocolate.)

mmm. yes, like chocolate. I love it, then I hate me for loving it. Such an unhealthy relationship. But I digress... It's a lot of work to develop new ways to deal with old stressors. But well worth it in the end. I just wish the end came a lot sooner more often. It's taken me 25 years to learn some of this stuff! And I still have a long way to go...
