Diario de EmzyCat, 26 abr. 24

Instead of eating out with the rest of the family, I made myself dinner at home. Shrimp with chickpea pasta, Alfredo sauce with spinach and tomatoes.

I still snagged a few fries though.

Looks delish! Pasta is my favorite. I'll have to try the chickpea pasta.

Thank you! Justsaynotopasta— It’s a good replacement option. You have to make sure you don’t over cook the pasta otherwise there is a texture difference. It’s not lower in calories but it has lots of fiber and protein.

Justsaynotopasta, love the irony of commenting on this post with your username! Lol. When you are young enough to almost feel invincible, you think only junk food, or big portions if it is healthy food, or not exercising, are to blame, and laugh when people blame pasta and bread too. Then you find out…I’m 27, so…learning that lol!

I prefer red lentil pasta taste. If you haven’t tried it I recommend. Beautiful picture. Nice presentation.

Well I am almost 66 and carbs are most definitely my enemy at this age. Trying to eat more vegetables and fruit than protein and more protein than carbs... I can hope because my metabolism sure has slowed down along with the rest of me lol
