I started week 8 of the C25K plan today and completed day 1 this morning. It was grey and dull but it didn't rain and I ran all the way to the beach, for 28 minutes solid. Not many people out and about, except when I reached All Saints Street: there, seemingly out of nowhere, four or five runners overtook me. They were running much faster than me and I eventually lost sight of them. I wasn't really bothered: I am still new to this and stamina must be built first, speed will come later... I am so looking forward to be lighter though, to be able to run faster.
A lone man was doing tai chi at the very end of Rock-A-Nore. After the warm down walk, I sat on the pebbles with the sea and the seagulls for all company. When I finally got up, I noticed the man had gone.
A few of the fishermen's huts were open but I hadn't any money with me and didn't buy any fish. I still had a look around near the fishing boats before I decided to go home.
