You have to move... I know it has been said, but I have found it to be the truth.

I have worked a desk job now for over 15 years, before that I was fairly active, not exercising or doing sports, just active at work, on my feet for 4-7hrs of the workday, and even eating out of vending machines, I could maintain my weight.

After starting my own business, mainly working with computers, cooking meals for my family, I found I was putting on weight quickly. I tried almost every fad diet, and pill that came on the market... nodda, nothing, or temporary results...very discouraging.

Then 3 years ago I was divorced, very depressed, very un-motivated, and very negative, my weight issues were just getting worse.


Fed up, and finally ready to move on… I started with a walk around my neighborhood, really just up and down the street. As the days turned into weeks, the walks got longer. I Started to work on the house that I had been putting off, painting, plaster, etc.

Soon I was walking around the block, then on walking trails, and feeling a bit better. I bought some hand weights, and started light lifting exercises, and now my brisk walks are up to 6 miles a day.

At this point I have lost over 30lbs, and enjoy my walks, short jogs, and working out. It all takes time, I will not tell you that it is easy. I wont tell you that you will like it, heck at times you will hate it, it will hurt, and you will be sore... but that too fades.... just like the extra weight.

I feel so much better, more stamina, more energy and I just gave my 48 waist pants to Goodwill and am back in my 40s (the ones I was in 3 years ago - buying a goal pair of pants nex week 38s).

Always look ahead, positive thinking, good food choices, and keep moving... so far it is working for me, I hope it can work for you too.
