New food find I thought I'd share: Don't know if any of you have an Aldi's where you live, and I think different Aldi's have different "stuff," but I found a tuna pouch for 99 cents that's great for lunch (or anytime, really). It's Northern Catch Harvest of the Sea, sweet and spicy chunk light tuna in water. 1 packet is only 80 calories and has 14g of protein and 3 carb grams. 0.5g of fat.
Tasty. I'm excited by this find because it's relatively inexpensive, quick/easy for grab-and-go lunch, and it's a chunk light tuna that I can STOMACH! For years, if I buy tuna, I only buy the solid white albacore kind, and it is pricey. But, I've done that, because I can't stand the smell or the taste of the typical cans of plain ol' chunk light tuna. I don't know what it is, but it's just....nasty tasting and smelling to me.
But this...not disgusting smelling, and I really liked the taste/flavor. 99cents. Bargain.
My lunch today--a lettuce salad with 1 package of this tuna stuff, some grape tomatoes, a couple of mild cheddar cheese cubes, some Waldren Farms Balsamic Vinaigrette (zero calories, zero fat, zero carbs), and some of Aldi's Fit & Active cheddar cheese rice cake snacks (1 serving of 8 mini cakes), and some unsweetened tea. 198 calories and some decent protein. And...I'm completely satisfied.
I don't make it to Aldi's very often, but I might go back and see if I can stock up on some more of these sweet & spicy tuna packets.

Thanks for the tip. I love Aldi. I'm waiting for them to bring the seasonal horseradish cheddar. You might ask and see if your Aldi brings it too. Also I get the "salad bar" or something like that brand of hummus. It's fairly low carb, and the roasted peppers one is delish. Also the Aldi near me has the cream cheese for only 99 cents a pack and the whipping cream for $3.41 a quart, so that's where I get them.

You might want to check it, found today pomegranates for 59 cents a piece, HUGE ones. Also, roasted pine nuts hummus, beautifully fresh green beans and asparagus, big bunch of celery is 99 cents and yellow squash and zucchinis are $1.39 a tray of 3-4. They also had some meat sale going, but I don't usually buy meat from there (except when their hams go on sale), we have a local chain that has the cheapest meat prices - imagine 10 lbs chicken leg quarters for $2.98 for the whole bag. Not even Aldi can beat that.

Aldis is worth the trip. 70 miles round trip. Vegies very cheap. "OUR" IGA CHARGES 1.00 FOR BELL PEPPER.5.OO FOR qt. Of strawberries. But for a closer bargain try family dollar for tuna in water in a can .50 each. May not be as fancy as aldis but it saves on gas. Family dollar has alot of good food much cheaper tHan iga. Check it out if you live 35 miles from a big town with big stores. The iga has this area wrapped up
