Diario de suddenleigh, 02 oct. 23

My dr gave me 3 months to lose weight and lower my blood pressure or I'll have to go on blood pressure medications. I'm at the heaviest weight I've ever been in my whole life and have been struggling to lose weight since before my wedding last year with only weight gain and stress to show for it. My husband pointed out that I only hate dieting and exercise because I see it as a punishment rather than a readjustment. But food has always been a source of joy and dopamine for me so it's difficult to see the journey ahead as anything other than my punishment for overindulgence. How do you all find pleasure in dieting? Looking for any positive ideas.

Dieting or painful exercising is not the way. I have been there. You got to find your own way for a life time change. Eating and exercising with moderation. There are no tricks, no magic, no drugs. Plain moderation. I guess you have heard about weight loss surgeries. Even those are nothing else but forced eating moderation. Some of them do have some extra benefits. But all of them end up in a few years. And then you are again on your own. Hopefully that you have learned to eat with moderation or else... So...moderation. Good luck.
