Last night I deleted my Daily Mail app.....if it wasn't bad enough using images of the last moments of a woman about to die....last night they had an article showing images of a man drowning his three year old step daughter in a swimming pool.....no.....just no.

Daily Mail has been my guilty pleasure for quite awhile...even though I knew it wasn't feeding the best in me. It reminds me of an American Indian story where an elder tells a young boy that inside of us all we have two wolves. A good wolf and a bad wolf and they are always fighting. The young boy asks the elder "Which wolf wins" and the elder replies "The wolf that we feed the most".

From now on I'm only feeding my good wolf....

Your right, why show such awful images, it's bad enough being told about these atrocities without the graphic content. In amongst all this we are trying to get a handle on our own lives and lose weight, I've stopped watching the news as much as possible, and concentrating on myself and those dear to me. Feed the good wolf babe, be kind to yourself, try and block out all the blackness of the world outside, thanks for sharing your thoughts, made me realise I was not the only one finding this hard. Xxx

The Indian story sounds very much like the book the chimp paradox to me - an interesting read.

I love that story - never heard it before - very true though. There are so many things going on around us, good and bad. The bad can be so draining and depressing. Glad you have chosen to take care of yourself emotionally as well as physically, Good for you x

Thank you for the comments :) I have to say I have discovered BuzzFeed and am delighted to find it is proper news reporting mixed with lovely silliness that just makes my life complete :)

Hey Tracy, I said the same thing to my hubby last night about that. It's like when people go missing and are found dead, they say things like they were raped and repeatedly stabbed, the poor people who have been affected by this really don't need to turn on the tv to see the story being repeated time and time again, we live in a very messed up world
