Diario de foodfight-nomore, 12 jun. 15

I am going to try something drastic - I don't normally try "fad" diets but I seriously need to try something to get my body back into a mode that it is prepared to lose weight and not gain just by me looking at everyone else eating. I am going to do the 7 day cabbage diet - it doesn't look that intensive and looks like you get to eat a lot of food, so hunger won't be a problem and as long as I have something nutritious on a plate I am happy. It looks more of a detox than weight loss, but hey if I lose weight it will be an added bonus. I think I just have to change it up a bit and get my metabolism out of this rut.

I can't believe I have gained 12 kgs since September last year - WTF????? And I knew the moment I was trying on a t-shirt yesterday and thought if I wear it with a cardigan it would look quite cute.....ok the last time I thought I was wearing something cute...I looked like this....



So no....not going back there.....that was me in 2008

I am going to start on Monday - Tomorrow I am going to cinema and eating out (not great but am only having boiled eggs and rice cakes for the rest of the day, so calories should not be that excessive). Sunday I am having a spa day and really looking forward to the relaxation and don't want to be thinking about cabbage soup!

Hey girl...as long as your not on that diet for a long period of time...It is soo hard to lose but sooo easy to gain...now that I am older it is even harder...Good luck with your drastic move..Hugs..

You look beautiful by the way. But if you don't feel it then that is fair enough, time to diet. I was just going to say that I lived in Russia for a while and you would be amazed by some of the delicious things they could make with cabbage. I love a big plate of steamed cabbage with a sweet chilli dressing through it and a handful of mixed seeds. Healthy and filling.

Thanks Bren - it will only be for 8 days...I'm having to add a day midway to allow for a family meal on Father's day - but I can't actually see how it would be bad for you in the short term.

Thanks Bunty - this photo was of me in 2008 at my heaviest. Seeing this photo was a huge turnaround in my life and I keep it to remind me where I never want to return. I am also one of the few that don't mind cabbage - I love it in my stirfrys (try and hide it from my hubby lol).

Tracy, my mum is doing intermittent fasting so she gets up in the morning and doesnt eat until 1pm then again at 7pm and thats it, she does it for 3 days then has a day when she eats nothng until 7pm. Mum says its good and healthy, i myself beg to difer but it seems to work for her. I tend to wrecord what i am having for the whole day and then think oh ill just have a little biscuit or and ice pop or maybe even a cereal bar, if you add little bits and dont count them they very easily add up to big numbers and over a whole week thats a lot. Hope you enjoy your spa day xx

Jo, you need to tell you mum to get back on here....I seriously need her disciplinary whip lol! I've read about that fasting and I think it would drive me nuts...and I am like a child if you say I can't have it...then I want it hundred times more!
