Great news, Dorinda.....I am sure the Greg will encourage you when you are ready! Please clothes shop BEFORE you have absolutely nothing to wear....you don't want to be like the Emperor and His New Clothes.....I don't know you have pretty long hair so maybe you could be Lady Godiva:)

I invested in some nice leggings and a pile of tshirts. I figure they will last a little while until they get awful.

Hey Need chops I've been tailoring my 26 jumpers into 16s lol. But they have a simple straight line. Today I started taking in my 2X t-shirts to larges. They have side seams but I was tired of baggy shirts and I'm really poor. Yay 7th grade home ec.

Awesome!! Thrift shops are great sources for those temporary sizes. Here they even have 50% off days for clothes so you can stock up for a bit for just a few $$

Thank you for all the support! I get away on most days because I have several pairs of stretch type pants that I wear most the time. None of my jeans fit, and I am starting to swim in my t-shirts and other tops. I have not had much luck at thrift shops, but maybe it was cause I was so large. I usually hate buying jeans there cause I have small waist but larger hips, always have even when I was thin. But in a week or two I just might start going thrift shopping. Wish I had a sewing machine! Its been years since I sewed anything and never tailored clothes. When we go on our trip, I am sure I will get to goodwill. My sister in law runs a business where she finds high end clothes at goodwill and sells them on ebay. She does quite well.

I am blessed that I live near a town that has quite a few resale shops...I can't think of the last time I bought something from a retail store...except for personal items and shoes. I also find that some of the outlet type stores have wonderful clearance items that help my clothing budget. I am sure that your sister will know all the places to hit while you are visiting. Enjoy your new size and celebrate with something special.

Thank you Gwen. I actually hate clothes shopping just a bit less than I hate shoe shopping. But it must be done. My body just doesn't fit in the "normal" clothes. And I've never ever been a size 0, don't know how that is even possible!

I think being a short pear makes it very difficult to find clothes!

I hate clothes shopping as well. Thrift shops and 1/2 of 1/2 are my go to's when I have to. I hate spending the $$ as well in the normal stores. I'm thankful they changed out dress code to include jeans as it is easier. Leggings are not allowed.
