GAINING! ARE YOU SERIOUS! So much for eating healthy... low carb is the only way for me, I have proven it to myself. And grains of any kind are just plain BAD! When I was grain free low carb, my life was just better all around! I felt happy, had tons of energy, loved working out... and now that i'm just doing a calorie restrictive diet eating "healthy" foods like whole grains and low-cal foods... I'm GAINING! This just goes to show our moden western diet is no good and our bodies just can't process grains and carbs, they aren't designed to! But with convenience foods packs with grains and carbs everywhere, it's so hard to completely avoid them...

Hi Rdromanus, I feel your pain with carbs!! I always do so well cutting out the carbs and I drop all the weight I want then I eat bread or pasta and I gain it all back! Have you tried going for the whole grain smart pastas or low carb wraps as a substitute for bread? I tried this a few months back and it seems to be working out for the most part.

I have been making flax bread to fulfill my "bread needs"! It basically has almost no carbs (or extremely low) but you can still stuff it with mayo and meat and not trash your diet. I always come back to low carb, every time!
