I'm always up for experimenting in the kitchen, but it is a disappointment when expensive ingredients are wasted. I hit a farm stand last weekend (day date with the retired firefighter) and roasted a variety of veggies that I don't normally eat, like kohlrabi, purple top turnips, and baby cauliflower. I have 2 heads of regular cauliflower in the crisper that I plan to rice and mash -- neither of which I have tried yet because I'm not opposed to rice or potatoes. Hope you had backup food available since the chaffles didn't work out! (I've eaten grapes and bananas for dinner when that's happened 🙁)
