Started checking sugar yesterday with the meter. Reading indicate Pre-Diabetes. More reason to lose weight and exercise. Depressing to think about the ramifications after watching Mom struggle over the years. I know what is coming. I am not feeling the motivation to fight, but fight I will. My strategy will be to minimize carbs while readings are elevated and to burn out some of the excess glucose through additional walking through out the day. I will focus on the the exercise plan which has been the most lacking so far on this journey. I am down 20 pounds since the night at the ER on 8/9 for the gall bladder which has alerted me to every thing else that is going on with NAFLD and elevated glucose in the Pre-Diabetic range.
