My cats can tell time, at least they know when they want to eat. I want to feed them at 5am and 5pm and give Marco his insulin shot while he is eating. But they start bugging me around 3:30pm (and sometimes 3:30am). They are driving me nuts right now, following me everywhere and very vocal. Bobby also knows what the cats want so he wants me to feed him too. I guess I'll feed them now (4pm) and then again a little bit at 5 so I can give Marco his shot.

I need to start eating better. Was doing okay but then bought a bag of chips at the grocery store yesterday and a box of neopolitan ice cream sandwiches! Really need to make a list and stick to it. Was shocked by the prices at the store. Not going to spend $7 on a box of cereal. The ice cream sandwiches were on sale, about $3 less than the regular ones so I bought them. Luckily grapes were on sale and so were raspberries so I have some healthy food. I did manage to resist the raspberry strudels from the bakery department which were also on sale.

Our dogs can tell time. Our Yorkie gets a pill in a wet dog food meatball around 6....he knows when it's time. They know when it's dinner time and time to go to bed, when they get their last chance to go out for a pee 😊

At church Sunday a gal held her hands up to show about an 11" x 6 or 8" rectangle and said she has gone to Vallarta, a local Latino market and said she bought things for lunch and it cost her $125.00. I saw a "choice" rib steak at Trader Joe's for 19.99 a lb. Youtube had a video projecting meat at $50.00 a lb. Maybe we will all lose weight.

Thanks SLYONE and APhoebe - someone gave me sticky notes once that say "dogs have owners, cats have staff". My cats think they are the boss. I guess maybe they are since I will feed them just to get them to stop bugging me. Thanks Sherry - My dog Bobby doesn't really bug me or let me know when he's hungry or wants outside. He just follows me all day long and spends lots of time just staring at me. If I ask him "are you hungry" or "do you have to go potty" he will start running around in circles if the answer is "yes". I try not to let him out when it's dark outside because we get mountain lions here and he's been sprayed by a skunk 3 times. Sometimes he just can't wait so i turn on all the outside lights and go out with him. Thanks Navywife - all the animals - inside and out know I will feed them. Thanks Snowwhite - I've always been thrify with grocery shopping. I never made lots of money but could live within my means. I had gotten out of the habit at paying such close attention to prices at the grocery store until recently. About a year ago I got upset when butter went from under $3 a pound to over $5. I had been buying a pound most trips to the store and then freezing it. At $5 I won't buy it. I called a lady who does Costco runs and asked her to buy me a 4 pack on her next trip - it was around $3 a pound. It might make it easier to lose weight because I refuse to pay some prices and other than necessities like milk, eggs, and bread I just buy what's on sale.
