I was up early today and got outside about 7:30am and started raking leaves and sawdust left from the tree that was cut down. It gets too warm to do anything after about 9am. Worked about 30-40 minutes and figured it was time to stop when my hair was wet and I could feel sweat on my back. Came inside and told Bobby around 8:30 that I was too tired to take him for a walk. Showered and dressed and now it's not even 11am and I feel done for the day. If I ever have energy, it's in the morning and I can use it up quickly.

Took Bobby to the vet yesterday (I think I should just have my pension check sent every month directly to the vet). It was just an annual physical with 2 or 3 vaccines and about $190. Still nothing compared to Marco's dental work a couple weeks ago at $1100 and Fritzy's dental work around $1200. Anyway, Bobby should weigh around 26-29 pounds according to the vet. He's usually 30-31 pounds. Yesterday he was 34 pounds! So both of us have to get serious about our diets. I just feel bad, he always seems hungry so I give him a little more. Now he'll get more green beans in with his food and I'll stick to the portions the vet said.

Last night around 7pm there were 3 fawns out front with 2 does. I've seen the families separately. One doe has 2 babies and the other has 1. I had sprinkled some sunflower seeds by the front porch for the birds and one of the does was eating them. A fawn came over and started to eat. The doe chased the fawn away, I guess it wasn't hers because they don't usually care if their babies eat with them. So the other doe got made and chased the mean mama away. Love watching how the wildlife interact with each other. Bucks won't let anyone eat, does or babies or other bucks. I got a picture but it's not very good, the does will pose but the babies run off.

I'm also a morning person. As the days drags on my energy fades. I love deer and other wildlife. So fun to watch.

I love watching deer. No matter how many I see, it never gets old. Those vet bills- YIKES! Pablo has a new patient appt today in 20 minutes. I accidentally went there at 1:30 instead. Very frustrating because I was in a meeting and excused myself- all for the wrong appointment time. Ugh.

Thanks Morticia - I got another little burst of energy and just finished cleaning the litter boxes. Totally. Threw all the dirty litter out and took the 2 huge litter boxes (they are actually storage cases normally used for long rolls of wrapping paper) outside to wash. Vacummed the floor in the closet where I keep the litter boxes, put down clean rugs and added fresh litter to the clean boxes. That is exhausting! So I think I'm finally done for the day. DP - It's the dental work that is really expensive because they have to run blood tests to see if it's safe to put the dog/cat under anesthesia and then it's surgery to remove the teeth and clean whatever are left. And one cat has diabetes so it's around $100 every 6 weeks for syringes and insulin. Is Pablo the new dog? Bobby isn't that expensive, just a yearly exam and some vaccinations, heart worm shot (I forget to give him the pills). I've done that with appointments - I showed up an hour early for a physical therapy appointment not long ago.

Yes Pablo is new. $51 today. Will get shots on the 6th, so that'll be more. He has a clean bill of health. I'll have to post his picture soon. He is precious. The vet has no idea what he is. I told her we are awaiting the DNA results and I'll let her know. Yes Buster had his teeth cleaned a couple times. No extractions or anything, but still expensive.

Our dog has a mass inside her mouth. She was born with what's called parrot mouth, it's where the top and the bottom don't match. She chokes when she drinks and we have to feed her the biggest kibble or it just falls out of her mouth. We aren't sure if the mass is somehow related to that or not but we are taking her into vet when we get home next week. 🙏🙏 Sounds like you did a lot of work around house! I too do all my stuff in morning and then by noon I'm tuckered out!

DP and Diana - Bobby is 5 years old (I think, have to look it up) and he's never had his teeth cleaned. It is such an ordeal. I was going to do it then noticed Fritzy's one tooth keeping sticking in his upper lip so he had dental work first. Many, many extractions and then a sutre didn't hold and I had to take him back in. About $1200 total after he also got an ear infection. I took Marco in a couple times asking about his teeth because he has such bad breath. The vet said he had tartar but she was more concerned about the diabetes. Finally when I noticed his gums bleeding they did the dental work. Maybe I'll finally get a chance to get Bobby in. Diana I never heard of parrot mouth. Sounds scary. I had a shih tzu with an underbite but no problems. I hope it's something that can be fixed for your dog. It's funny on the days I get up really, really early and get some work done. It will feel like it's late afternoon and I look at the clock and it's not even 10am!
