So this is day 6 of the "big breakfast diet" experiment. So far I seem to be fluctuating in weight in the normal fashion, losing between 1 - 2 lbs week.

My impressions so far are that it is true that you will not snack much, but you will be very hungry by dinner. Since my diet plan consists of pretty strict calorie limits I'm not eating then, but if I were not carefully monitoring all calories I might be tempted to eat more.

On a side note, California's new law requiring calorie information on the menu is fantastic! If you don't live in a state that requires it contact your local congress person. I'm now capable of making informed decisions that were partially guesswork before.

My only issue with it is the "think of the children" stuff at the end. Look, if kids want soda they're going to buy it, whether at school, on the way to school, or bringing it from home. The same with fried foods. That won't really help, though changing the oils to less fatty variety in schools is probably a good idea. Now if only we could actually get a balanced budget to let that happen...

I'm more of the 'think of the parents not teaching their children' variety, but that seems to get me in trouble.
