that was fun, was uploading pics and then I wasn't. do over.
Good day already. Gave my niece some STEM gear and a geology science kit for while she's staying with grandma and she is actually excited. I knew it would be hit or miss, and thankfully, a hit. Going to exercise early again today so I don't have to worry about fitting it in at the end of the day although I like being exhausted when I go to bed.
We'll call today day 5 since it's easier than adding on to last month and all I have to do is look at the date. Yesterday's session got broken into two pieces because of a phone call that went over a few minutes. that said, the numbers from each were pretty good. average heart rate for the longer session was 133 with peak at 150 6.2 METs, 9 minutes in cardio. I did lose the challenge, badly, but since we decided it was total minutes in peak and I refuse to run, I'm good with that outcome. I can still kick his butt in the water. maybe.
did some walking on the waterfront, but did not count as exercise as we were stopping constantly and going slow. that's okay, you do have to stop and take in the scenery sometimes.
blob up a hair, muscle down, which is interesting, need to drink more water but I was away from my water bottle all day and it was cold when I got home. I did manage to drink a couple diet cokes at the restaurant because diet coke. lol story of my life. actually, took a look in the mirror this morning, like the progress on overall shape and I am hypercritical, so that's good. working on that, too. is it even possible to have a year or two where all things in one's personal life align to where you want them to be or is it always a perilous delicate balance to keep things out of chaos? I know there's no real answer there, it's just interesting to take three steps back. no one life is perfect and it's all about choices. always has been, always will be.
took these a couple years ago, took forever for the movie to be released. excuse the quality, taken w/zoom. "hard deck" bar from the movie. it was there one day, then it wasn't a couple weeks later. kinda funny. maverick's plane parked on the tarmac. inside of hard deck bar. very close in character to the I Bar it's inspired by, also on base. been inside both. I didn't see any filming myself. also got kicked out of yet another bar without even having a single drink this time. that ended up being a challenging edit job with zoom and square frames and whatnot. plus the f-18 is a big plane. haven't seen the movie yet, probably see it in a couple weeks, I'm guessing. not into crowds.
