I finally got to use my garmin forerunner watch! I haven’t learned about all the features yet in order to fully review it, but first off I can say that it does some cool stuff my amazfit doesn’t, has a large very readable screen, and syncs much better than my amazfit does. I also like that it records my PRs, which aren’t exciting yet after one run but will be very cool as I start gathering more runs. It took me so long to use it in part because I didn’t have time to figure out how to work it and in part because I haven’t been running as much. Though I started running again around the same time I came back on FatSecret to lose weight, I actually was inspired not by weight loss but by an innate sense that running would burn off my anxiety which was high at the time due to career transition. Although I’m now in another career transition which has also triggered a lot of anxiety, I reacted at first with less exercise instead of more. I’m so thankful to be running again; it’s such a good thing for both mental and physical health. I’m looking forward to settrling into a good routine with both my exercise and my career again.
