On the drive home from the mountains I was remembering, just before Covid hit, in November of 2019, I was in the hospital for a week.
For some reason I couldn’t walk, and was told they will keep me there till they figure it out and have me up and walking again.
I saw the doctors for maybe 15 minutes each day, but it was the nurses I relied on to take care of me and treat me with kindness, as I needed their help for using the restroom and to have water by my side always. I was so blessed, nurses that joked with me and took such good care of me. 💕
I am posting this joke as so so many people on this app are nurses. I didn’t get to go back and thank them, but I remember their kindness.
I just want you to know you are appreciated, that people remember your kindness!!!
I am sure there are Karen’s out there that wreck your day, but there are so many more that may not get a chance to let you know how much you are appreciated!
Then bang, 2020 arrived, it became the year of the nurse, the poor beaten up nurse, not what they expected, some not even surviving. Nursing is not for the empty of heart...nor the faint of heart, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your care and patience. It would not be possible to praise nurses too highly!👍👏🌼🌸👏❤️❤️❤️
