*sigh* This is getting so frustrating! I'm back up to 230lbs and it seems like every time I start to see any results, they stop dropping ad climb up again...
Due to MANY medical issues I am required to take multiple medications all of which are necessary yet all of which like to contradict each other in terms of my weight and blood sugars (I am type 2 diabetic on insulin)...

I have been trying to watch what I eat, however with only one of us in the home that works and his wage pretty much covers the bills/rent and only the absolute essentials for groceries so I have been doing the best with what I have access to.

Another issue I have in terms of food is I could have a really good and healthy (moderate caloric intake and fairly good in terms of cards and fat intake) but then my blood sugars bottom out and I need to eat high carbs to bring my sugars back up before I land myself in the hospital... and with high carbs comes high calories then pushing me over what my daily intake should be... *sigh*

In the sense of exercising... I have a rare genetic condition called M.E.L.A.S. which stands for Mitochondrial Encephalomyopathy Lactic Acidosis and Stroke like episodes. This disease makes me exercise intolerant (due to lactic acid saturation in my muscles) and drastically limits what I can do in terms of exercising. Even some moderate exercise can leave me bed ridden for days if not a week+. Walking is my best bet for exercise and I walk everywhere only taking a bus or riding in a vehicle only when I absolutely have to. However I have reached a plateau with walking and the scale has stopped going down.

I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place and no chisel to get me out of it. OH! And the cherry on the cake is my Fitbit decided to go all possessed and start doing weird things until it finally completely died on me... it was the biggest thing that I used to track my sleep and fitness (and heartrate) and it was a huge motivator for me

I do apologize for the complaining I'm just very frustrated and needed to vent before I do something stupid like eat everything in sight (I'm a major stress eater)

Thank you in advance to anyone who had the patience to read this.

Do you have access to a free dietitian (not a nutritionist; that’s a different job,) if your doctor refers you, through your provincial health care plan? It sounds like your nutrition needs are quite complex. Maybe a professional overview would be beneficial to get you going in the right direction. 💕

I'll talk to my endocrinologist and see if she can connect me to one. That you for the suggestion! Hopefully it helps :)

Yes I agree. see if you get a dietitian. I spoke to one a few months ago and he said he get me eat foods I will enjoy and would be eating more them three times a day and help me loose weight. I didn't go with him because it was going to cost me $700 for 6 months as my goal to loose the weight I wanted gone. He excepted monthly payments and I had planned to use his services but my roof needed to done. Like grammalauta said maybe your doctor can recommend you one thats free. I know have used one years ago for free and she was located at my doctors office. Don't give up or stress about it. Just do some research and get advice from your doctor. It might just take time and trying different things.

A dietician can help even on a budget. I agree with the suggestion. Don't give up !

Ditto. Don't worry too much about the numbers, work on small goals instead of big ones. Things will change and remember - we're here for you!
