Diario de Wicked Step Monster, 09 abr. 11

Heading into the kitchen to divide and cook various meats.

I made a container full of hamburger with Italian Seasoning.
I made a container full of hamburger with Mexican Seasoning.
I made my husband and SS Italian Turkey Sausages and put two away for me for later in the week.
I made hamburger patties for the freezer.
I made a container of peppers and mushrooms that were cooked with the sausages.
I made myself pork chops for dinner.

Tomorrow I am going to grill up some chicken.

This is going to make my life alot easier.

Cooking ahead of time always helps. I spend the weekend doing some "weekly cooking" so i can grab and go. I usually made a low carb soup every week for lunch, because it's fast and portable if you gotta be out the door fast in the morning.

Oh yeah, that is what hubby and I do. When we came home from church today, we made chicken breast for lunch, put some in a lemon pepper marinade to cook later, made up hamburgers and lamb/hamburgers, and we are bbqing ribs later for dinner. It is so nice to be able to open the fridge, pop a piece of meat into the wave, and have something to eat when I am hungry! We also keep green salad ready all the time, in a huge plastic container....2 heads of lettuce, 2 cucmbers, 1 bunch of green onion, and 3 pieces of celery chopped, then we just add tomato green pepper, red pepper, yellow pepper, mushrooms, etc depending on what we want. I love to take it, top it with a bit of tomato, a slice of bacon, crumbled, and homemade ranch...BLT salad! Yummo!
