I have a rule that I say over and over to myself that's based on a couple of Scriptures. "Don't let anything out of your mouth or into your mouth that God has not okayed." God tells us when something is okay to say if we listen. That small still voice. He also tells us when we are not to let something into our mouth. That small still voice. That voice sounds in your head like your own bothersome conscience but it is God the Holy Spirit saying, "You don't need that" or "You shouldn't eat that" or "That's too rich". We as Christians don't listen as much to that voice because we are used to fellowshipping and other things and continueing to eat is probably one of our most prolific sins and even laughed about in church because every one is committing it. We all need to ask God for an ear to hear his warnings and then commit ourselves to listen to it when He speaks. Hears to listening, in love...
