You might try having a more filling breakfast and lunch and see if it helps you eat less in the evening. There are 2 reasons for overeating: physical and mental. The physical reason is that you let yourself get very hungry and your body sends the signals to eat, eat, eat! The mental reasons are more complicated. I think it is usually a combination. The physical reason is very easy to take care of by eating enough sooner in the day. You might find that this alone gives you the little extra will power you need to stop eating when you intend to. Or you might find you have other reasons for eating over the amount you intend.
