Boy, that is depressing.
Since I gained 3lbs on the scale when I was sick, and I only have 6 weeks left until my 1 year anniversary mark and the goal of losing 100lbs, I figured out that if I lose 2lbs a week, I will be at 93lbs lost in 1 year, and if I lose 3lbs a week, I will make a 99lb loss by then.......but probably, I will not make 100lbs by my 1year anniversary of my weight loss journey. I will at most miss it by 7lbs and at the least, by one pound. Can you say frustrating?!??!!!!?

Oh Sweets... look at what you've done in the past year. That's all that matters. It took me 2 and a half years to lose 82 lbs. Consider yourself a very lucky person to have lost that much weight. Look at an old picture of yourself. Then look in the mirror. That's all you need to do. Where you are now compared to this time last year.

93-99 lbs in a year is AMAMZING! Don't get depressed, rejoice! You have done a great job and so what if you don't hit some mystical mark - you have done great and I bet you look and feel terrific. While having a goal certainly helps, you can't beat yourself up if you don't quite hit the mark in the time frame you dreamed up. You have done great things for yourself, you have come so far in a year - hold to that and continue your journey with pride and joy!

I wanted 100lbs in a year too, I ended up with 75. I'm now at -102lbs so I guess the time it takes doesn't matter as long as you get where you're going. Don't let the realization that you may not make that one particular goal steal the glory of how far you've come. You're loss rate has been exceptional, be proud.

I agree with all of the above. Being even close to 100 lbs in one year is amazing!! Look how far you've come. You are awesome, so don't let that number define you. :)

I can totally understand "frustrating", I'm the same way! But even 90 lbs. lost in one year is pretty fantastic. Don't beat yourself up, celebrate the HUGE loss you've had and all the hard work you've done!

Just want to agree with everyone else - you've accomplished SO much already. You will hit that 100 pound mark. It just may take a bit longer. Discouragement is the enemy - focus on all you've done so far. :)
