4c chicken stock/broth(this time he used bone broth)
2 tsp Sesame oil
3/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp white pepper
Pinch of MSG
1/2 tsp tumeric
3 Tbsp cornstarch + 1/3 c water
3 eggs lightly beaten
Sliced green onions
In a medium pot bring stock/broth to a simmer. Stir in sesame oil, salt, sugar, pepper, MSG, and tumeric. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Stirring soup continously, drizzle in cornstarch slurry; use more or less starch for thicker or thinner soup. Can also add the starch slurry in small batches. Let the soup simmer for a few minutes, then check consistency. Using a laddle stir the soup in a circular motion, slowly drizzle in the beaten egg. The speed of stirring when adding the egg determines large "egg flowers" or small egg flowers. Laddle soup into bowls and top with green onions. Enjoy!
