Diario de Paricia Yellow, 17 jun. 21

It's been some time since my last entry, 'cause the darkness I've been experiencing would be unpleasant to write or read about... (I feel heavy and totally unmotivated, back in the road of surrendering to my cheap impulses for consuming whatever would lighten up my mood for some seconds,and back to guilt and fake promises for a fresh start the next day). The only exersize I've been able to do is walking on the spot, it's not very demanding but keeps me from totally rusting. Of course my depression forbids going for a casual walk, although it's my favourite activity. I've heard that extended fasting brings a shift in one's mood after the 4th or 5th day, but I've only made it to the 3d day so far,multiple times though. Does anyone have any experience on mood shifting by extended fasting that would like to share with me?

in the past when I've had really rough emotional days, I made myself sit outside for a minimum of an hour for the quiet and the vitamin D. I also took vitamin d supplement for a time. it's hard to get motivated to make healthy choices for your diet when your emotional health doesn't allow you to, so I'd focus on that first

AerinHawk I see your point, it's very logical. I think though that fasting will boost that serotonin release as it's done in the intestines, so maybe things will turn around starting from the diet. I will continue with this self-experimentation and journal here, for us all <3

If mood-boosting is the primary goal, doing at least half to one hour of cardio (it could be walking, it could be swimming, I see best results with moderate intensity runs) a few times a week has done wonders for me. I am quite miserable without it.

I couldn't agree more about cardio! I also love and believe in it. I have a Gazelle runner in which I've been exersizing the past year, but this week I 've been feeling weak and just do marching on the spot,for about 1,5 hours a day. It's a bit monotonus but still makes me sweat-not as much as gazelle but ok.It's ironic that 5' away from my house there is this beautiful beach that has healed me so many times in the past, by walking in the Winter all of it's 5 black-sanded miles...Now,however,it's too crowded for my taste. Those of you there, don't be fools like me, have the nerve I lack !
