The past couple of weeks have been good.....and not so good. I went on vacation and continued to exercise, but ate far too many sweets. I started out successfully eschewing the "I'm on vacation" mentality, but caved in to the bad habits after being in warm weather and outside my normal routine for a few days. This is the first weigh-in that I have not lost since I joined this party we call FatSecret four months ago.

The other event that has thrown me a bit is that I finished the balance diagnostic testing and the doctors don't think I have Meniere's, but they are back to, "We don't know what is causing the hearing loss and dizziness." I asked them to let me know what instigated this nonsense, and I promised never to do it again. All that comment brought about was laughter! AND, there is still a hole in my eardrum from the steroid injections the other doctor gave me in November. New doctor said, "No swimming." I said, "Oooops." You see, I had just returned from Florida where I perfected my handstand in the shallow water of the pool (you would have given it a 10) and was successful at riding the waves of the not-as-warm-as-I-would-like Gulf. He burned the edges of the hole and put a paper patch on it to encourage and assist with the healing, and I'll have another check-up in 6 weeks.

I don't have to take the diuretic or stay on low sodium, but I think I will continue at least watching my sodium because that has been so successful with weight loss and it makes me feel so much better. I am very happy, however, that I don't have to be "I'll have a green salad" girl every time I go out to eat with friends because most everything in restaurants exceeds reasonable sodium levels. I can be "normal" once in awhile now.

My body fat has decreased significantly but that is probably because I am retaining fluid like a dam again without the diuretic, so I will use natural diuretics like what some of you buddies have recommended.

Stay strong, friends, and definitely aim to be stronger than I have the past week. :)
