Trying not to get myself riled up, but a certain "frenemy" of mine is pissing me off to the point I wanna smack a bitch.

Any tips for dealing with assholes who are obviously jealous of your weight loss ?????????????????

Ugh, I hate that term. Why have friends you don't even like?

Yep. I dont know what the hell her problem is but she is obviously NOT my friend.

remember you are only in control of you, not anyone else....just keep focused on you and improving you and understand you cannot control anyone else. you can call her out on it if you can do it in a constructive way. my 2 cents

If I had any words of wisdom that worked I would be using them. I can't click support enough.

My first reaction was "Yea but I'm not gonna be fat for too much longer........but you'll always have that nose."....But no. That would be petty and catty and out of line. Oh wait--the exact same thing she did to me. I was completely floored by that.

i'm with haesel...life's too short to fill it with people who don't love and support you. do what you can to stay away and not encourage the "friendship" and it will hopefully just fade away...and you won't look like the bad guy for ending the friendship!

Keep going, nothing will make her more envious that seeing your success. You're doing just great!

***I dont know what the hell her problem is but she is obviously NOT my friend.*** Your answer. She's not your friend. And if not a friend, you detach and go on with your life and let her live hers.

You are dealing with this rather well, in my opinion. You have recognized her for who she is and what she is doing to you. That is at least part of the battle. Keep on losing and keep on looking out for frenemies. They hide everywhere. I take that back, they don't hide often enough. Congrats on your success.

If she is a frenemy then I wouldn't let anything she says bother me. Who cares what she thinks. By getting riled you are only making her happy and giving her power.

Use that jealousy! You can't control what your frenemy will do, but you can control how you respond. You can use that jealousy in many different ways. It can be an affirmation that you really are doing well on your weight loss journey. You could also sprinkle some remarks about how great it is to be a size ___. I'm sure you're frenemy will take it well. ;)

People that get jealous of other peoples weight loss are the worst. Ditch her. If she can't be happy for you..

Turn your frenemy's jealousy into your motivation. If she can't be happy for you, she's not a friend. Congrats on your success!!

The most screwy thing is I did NOT realize she thought this was a competition. She was a horrible "fat shamer" and while the comments were never directed at me per se, I was offended (which is why I didnt talk to her for years before this reconnect about a year ago). Well, apparently now she is the same size as I am today......karma is a real mutha, isnt it? haha I did tell her I was thinking about going for the extra 10-15lbs at the end, and if that happens, I would be a size 8 or even a 6 (yay for today's "vanity sizing!") That is what sent her over the edge I guess.

Realize that other people have their own mess/junk going on inside their heads and it has nothing to do with you personally. I'm sure she just feels extra bad about herself for not losing weigh like you did. NOT CONDONING her being mean - this just helps me understand that someone's motive when they are ugly is only because they are hurting inside.
