I’ve have tried to write this journal 3 times and my computer zapped it away ARGH!!! Anyway, it has been a busy weekend filled with wrestling and it was super hard to get on to log food so things will be guesstimated for yesterday and today. The good and bad news….Good that our oldest son (senior in HS) qualified for the Illinois HS wrestling state tournament next weekend. We are soooo excited and proud of this accomplishment. He has worked long and HARD to achieve this (ten years of wrestling). So it is a great way to end his career, especially if he places. The bad news…the planning of what I need to bring to eat, concession stands in sports venues are not overflowing with healthy choices, kind of crazy since wrestlers are notorious for maintaining their weight and increasing their strength. Then there’s the money, I know, preach to the choir EVERYBODY is broke. Such a Debbie Downer (no offensive Debbies). None of this overshadows this once in a lifetime experience for our family. So I can’t wait. Hopefully the hotel will have free WIFI so I can get my FS fill or else I will bring a notebook to log my meals and journal my thoughts.
Today my in laws are throwing a “surprise” party for my husband and me (we are both turning 40). Yes we know ALL about it, it might seem wrong to know, but I am not the surprise kind of girl so I got the scoop. I anticipate a good time, but a lot of PIZZA which is my downfall. I have eaten so much fat and carbs lately, this WEEK will be tough. I need to be smart. Wish me luck!!!
