I didn't record yesterdays meals... because I was really off. Ok here is where my downfall is.. I made a mistake, gained weight now the inner giving up begins and I lose focus, thinking "I cann't do this" or "I will always be like this why torture myself" There is no one to tell me otherwise here in person. They just give me other foods to try, and this weekend is going to be another one, because we have another dinner to go to and a superbowl party to go to. Yikes! help! I have set myself up to start my flat belly diet on Monday wich takes 7 pounds off in four days.. that one is a jump start that I have used several times in the past. This yo yo stuff really has to stop.

I didn't realize the flat belly diet would be so effective in getting a jump start - I may have to check into that. Don't feel bad about slipping. Have you read You: On a Diet? I like what Dr. Oz says about slips - everyone slips. There's no sense in beating yourself up over it. He calls it allowing yourself to make a "You-turn." Just acknowledge it and figure out the trigger so you can better handle it next time. My theory is that skinny chicks do that kind of stuff all the time. Most of the time, they're good so they don't have to worry about when they go out with their friends and kill a jumbo enchilada plate. (Ever notice that? You're eating this plate of rabbit food at a restaurant and look over at a skinny chick eating how you'd like to eat?) You can call it the 80-20 theory - 80% of the time you follow the diet perfectly, and 20% is allowed for fun. Or you can call it zig-zag dieting, which is basically varying the amount of calories you eat (using high days and low days) so that the average daily intake over the week is what you're really shooting for. I like both ways because you can't sustain a diet if you are completely depriving yourself, but for myself I prefer the second way (zig-zagging) because I can't really tell if I'm being good "80%" of the time. What may feel like 80% may only be 40%... Hope this helps. Good luck on reaching your goal!!!

yes it does help, even when I know this stuff, it does help to read it again when I may have forgotten. I use to be a skinny chick that could eat three big macs and not gain an ounce... those days are over and I need to stop looking at that and realize, I need to eat healthy to feel healthy. I do also like to zig zag it tends to help boost my matabalism... then when I eat good all the time. :) thank you for your words

At one time I was a skinny chick too - I ate more than the guys I went out with. But I think I did most of the time I didn't eat that much - I remember days when I forgot to eat. But when I did eat, boy, did I! Those days are long gone. BUT I did eat enchiladas today! My comment to you made me crave them so I figured I'd treat myself for my bday since I haven't eaten at a restaurant in months now.

We all have those days. You will get back on track. I don't know anything about the flat belly diet, but I wish you lots of luck!
