If I'TS in the house, I WILL eat IT

I know this about myself, whether IT is potato chips, red wine, vodka, chocolate or other sweets, frozen appetizers in the freezer....you get the idea. So after New Year's day, there is no IT in my house.

Temptation hit me at 1:30 today, on my way home from a meeting in Toronto. Wanted to stop at the LCBO and pick up a bottle of vodka (no carbs, unlike red wine)but did not as I know I would not stop at 1 drink, more like 3. Second wanted to stop at Zarky's for a take out lunch, but did not. Very happy now with my decision! When I got home, I had leftover Meatball and Sausage Ragu(made it from scratch a few days ago), and a diet coke (limit myself to 1 per day). I feel re-balanced, after almost 6 hours without food. I need my 5-6 meals a day, it works for me.

How many times have I brought home potato chips or other junk, thinking I would just have a bit..but end up eating it all over the next few days. There is nothing in the house to tempt me to binge, well, I do have carrots, celery, spinach, swiss chard, baked salmon, turkey loaf, hard boiled eggs... Now that's good binging :).

One day at a time.......
