Getting frustrated with the scale and me not shrinking in any obvious ways. My body is softer and marshmellowy but my too skinny clothes are all too skinny still. Aargh! I have only done about 5 days of my muscle workouts though so it is still early days. It just gets a bit disheartening putting all this effort in and not seeing a lot in return.

Sunday today so is a day off exercise unless we go shopping LOL. Have started wearing nicer clothes to church, rather than just shorts and a t-shirt. Figured why not....

Hope you all have a fandiddlytastic day!

Gosh, I wish things were going better for you. I can understand the frustration as you're doing everything you "ought" to be doing. But your efforts WILL pay off. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if there's something going on in your body relating to the earthquake and the aftershocks....probably not a whole lot of research to draw from on that count. Just keep on keepin' on. The ongoing stress you feel relating to those quakes should continue to diminish as the earth stops shaking so much. You've lost over 12 pounds and there's more to come, I just know it. Recheck your portion sizes just to be sure they haven't increased a bit over time, as I found out my AM shredded cheese had. You'll be back on the losing road shortly.

Any chance you can throw yourself a curve ball, and change things up a bit? Maybe drop back to Induction for a week, and keep you calories at 1500-1700, then add back the OWL related items a little at a time....and keep up w/ your water...over the second week, stay at the same calories, but just change up your veggies/carbs. Sometimes we have to surprise our systems that we don't do the same things day in and day out...it can adapt very easily.

I would suggest cutting out the "torani", which seems to be a flavored syrup? I know others who have tried flavored syrups and found that they were a source of stalling. You might want to ask Pinky about her experience with flavored syrups. And dropping down to 1500-1800 calories is a pretty good idea, too, as that's what the Atkins book recommends.

Squiggs I looked at your diet calendar and you may not be eating enough... when I'm active I have to eat more than my RDI or I don't lose! At least eat your RDI.

Hang in there Squiggs, I haven't lot anything since October, but I will just keep plugging along! You can be my stall buddy! lol

Thanks Sandy, yeah I do wonder about the stress as until our house is fixed we will have ongoing stress, even though the aftershocks are only felt every few days or so now. I guess 3 months of stress might have something to do with a stall/gain ROFL! I still weigh absolutely everything as I never trust myself to eyeball food and get it right.

jsfantome, hbkim - the thing I have changed up this week was what whyguy suggested about taking your calories burned for the day and subtracting 20% and that is the amount you eat. Hence my 2000 a day (or as close as I can get to it LOL. If that doesn't work I might have to to go back to induction. I am an odd case anyway as I am also gluten free and low nickel (the low nickel cuts out a LOT of veggies and stuff) I have also changed up my exercising. I am now alternating days between core, leg and arm workouts, all with cardio included. That is quite different from my walking for an hour that I was doing most days. Hasn't been a week yet so hard to tell if either are working yet.

Myree my RDI is set at 2000 and I get as close as I can do that daily now. Its kinda nice to eat more food LOL.

Wooooo hooo I have a stall buddy now! Cool!!! We can stall together! LOL Yup I am keeping plugging on - and still we are healthier than if we were eating all that high carb junk. I just have to remember to take my multivitamins esp when my diet is so restricted with the low nickel foods - I do wonder if that is part of it somehow - I always forget to take them!

Squiggs, I sometimes forget also. Set them wherever you prep your food, or with the salt shaker, so that you remember! That is what I do, and it works most of the time!

Hi Squiggs, how tall are you? And even if you're doing 80% of your RDI, which is a good thing, that torani may still be stalling you. I know the DaVinci syrups were stalling Pinky, so she cut that out and started losing again. Of course, different people react to foods differently...

Good idea Stef. I would forget my head it if wasn't screwed on ROFL! I have been quite lethargic the last few days, so I really must remember to take them. And the evening primrose oil, and the Ester-C.....

Well good luck to you sister I almost stalled while I was sick turns out I managed to lose 8.5 lbs over 3 months time not a lot but I'll take it! Yeah my RDI is 2000 as a sedentary life so I have to add in my activities to find out what I'm actually burning...usually over 3400 calories a day.
