Diario de luvmystella, 19 dic. 08

We had a potluck today at work. I feel like I did good. I skipped over the chips and dips and went for mostly the proteins with a few tiny indulgences like the warm crab dip. I took a tiny bit of each item and ate it slowly. I didn't even finish everything on my plate because I decided to stop eating once I felt satisfied. I did treat myself to a small piece of rum cake - YUM! I am going out this evening and plan on having a couple of glasses of wine as well. I came home after work and exercised - 30 minutes on the elliptical and the 40 minutes of weight training. This has definitely become more than a "diet". I realize I will always be faced with things such as potlucks, parties and going out to dinner. What I have learned from doing WW is that I don't have to skip out on these things and isolate myself. I just need to be sure I make the best choices I can to leave room for treating myself, stop eating when I am satisfied and not FULL, and most importantly Exercise for a perfect balance. I feel happy today and not guilty which is something that I never had before I lost the weight. I always over ate and then felt guilty and over ate some more. I have truly changed my eating, thinking and way of life.
