15 pound mark....whew, I thought that last 1/2 pound was going to hang on forever. It really feels like a milestone, a small one but one none-the-less! I don't think that I am going to make my first goal of 240 by Thanksgiving, but I should only miss it by 3-5 pounds, so I guess it's not the end of the world *sigh*

I figure it's time I post a picture, so that I have a frame of reference for my body image, because even though my clothes fit better (3 pairs of jeans I can now fit in)and the measurements/pounds are coming off, I don't SEE the improvement. I want to SEE it.

So here goes, I hope that one day very soon, I will be proud to show a picture of my body, not ashamed....

Wow, 15 pounds in slightly over a month is a phenomenal loss! I definitely want to be encouraging but I also want to caution you that it won't be "typical" to lose 15 pounds each month as you go forward. So, enjoy it while you can! I know what you mean about that last half-pound, as my last 2 pounds have been very sticky, too. And as for goals, it's not unusual to have to adjust goals as we go along. I had a goal to reach 200 by this past 4th of July, but as time went on in late spring, I saw my body settle into a slower pattern of loss, so I had to adjust and set the 200 goal for Labor Day. I have a goal for the end of the year and for 2/1/11, but not beyond, even though I won't be at goal by February. I'm getting close to weights I haven't been at in 20 years, so I want to get closer to my February goal before I determine what kind of loss would be reasonable going into next spring and summer. You just need to keep working the plan and let your body adapt at its own pace. The reward will still materialize - at whatever date - if you stay on plan.

Hey that is a great weight loss so far. That is an average of 3.5 pounds a week, and that is nothing to sneeze at. You weight may slow down though like Sandy said, so don't get discouraged. You are well on you way. Congratulations!!

Thank you guys! I know that it will slow down, so I am just enjoying the ride for now :) As far as goals go, I realize that what I thought to be realistic is probably not, but I will evaluate them as I get closer to the dates, Sandy, I too haven't set anything past the spring :) I want to see where I am at on my Birthday before I go forward! I know this is possible, even if somewhat of a long journey, and I am so grateful for all the support and inspiration I get from the people on this site! Thanx, Jen :D
