Litter? I know nothing about cats. She eats it? I’m probably crazy but if it’s in her colon? Poor thing.

Good for you, Fritzy!!! Five pounds up is not where you want to be, but it is manageable for sure! 😁 I love your home and deck!!!! 😊 What all are you seeing regularly? I know you have a menagerie!

I so hope your kitty feels better. When we love our pets so much they just pull us apart when they aren't doing well. I am so sorry you are stressed about her. 🙏 ❤️

Thanks Wifey - I've had many cats in my life and not one of them ate litter. The vet said it's probably because she didn't feel well, like how dogs and cats will eat grass outside to make themselves throw up. I've ordered pine litter and also one made from corn. I have the clumping kind which is like clay when it's wet. Thanks Melissa, I hate when my pets get sick and especially when I know their time is really limited like Callie with lymphoma. Her eating litter makes me wonder if cats can be suicidal. I feel lucky that I only gained 5 pounds considering how poorly I ate when the lockdown first started. I am seeing lots of deer now. The bucks are back - a couple of them go and sleep under the deck during the day. Lots of wild turkeys and soon there will be babies. I bought 4 bags of unsalted peanuts in the shell (ordered from Costco) and will pour about a cup or two of them on the deck by my bedroom door and watch as the blue jays and squirrels come to get them. One at a time they come. I'll see a jay in the oak tree waiting for the other jay or squirrel to leave. They are so smart. Within a minute or two of putting the nuts out, the blue jay is there. They must wait in the oak tree for me to come outside.

Poor cat. So sorry the baby is having such a hard time. So glad she has you. You can knock those 5 lbs right off. No doubt.

I'm so sorry about your baby. She is like your child and when she doesn't feel good, neither do you. 5 lbs is very manageable. You've got this. I love your deck. It's beautiful

I looked up cats eating litter and one of the first things listed was vitamin and mineral deficiency, it esp. mentioned cats eating the clay type litter for that purpose. Maybe have the vet check your cats bloodwork?
Beautiful deck, enjoy!!

You may have eaten something salty. Try weighing yourself everyday first thing in the morning and don't freak out about it just watch the trend line. Is you eat shrimp or something like that you will gain weight from their salt. That will go way the following day or so.

You have a beautiful spot to sit & enjoy nature. I'm sorry your kitty is sick & causing you worry. It's hard enough at any time but I know especially hard right now.
