I have cheated for a day, and found it to benefit me when I was in a stand still of weight loss. I know the book tells you to not cheat, but my past experience for ME.. is to reward myself once in a great while with eating what I want. (however don't over do it!) I have never cheated more than a day in a week and most times did not cheat every week. I would cheat after I met a short term goal of like 10 or 15 pounds. If I was at a stand still for over two weeks, then I would cheat for a day! Probably more so because I was disgusted with no weight loss, but to my suprise, I would drop an amount like 7 pounds the next time I would weigh in. I dont think this works for everyone.. but it seems to shock my body back into weight loss. You will just have to see how your body reacts if you try it for a day... but I don't recommend it for more than a day. It is very hard to start over if you have a hard time with cravings anyway. My family goes camping a lot and what I do is take plenty of veggies to grill on sticks. Zuccini, green peppers, mushrooms, purple onions... and then make a grilled piece of chicken or a big steak! take some salad with you. We also eat grilled hamburgers with swiss cheese. I just dont eat the bun. for Breakfast.. we always grill bacon on the grill and fry eggs or omlets with cheese and the grilled veggies I have left over. We pack lots of bottled water with little sugar free flavorings that you can buy for water bottles now, like Green tea, rasberry tea, peach, tropical punch and etc. The kids dont even miss the soda! Have fun camping and just be aware of what your doing and dont push yourself over a limit you dont want to go over while on vacation. Good luck to you! I wish you the best.
