Good morning everyone.

Had a fairly busy day yesterday after being gone for so long. Had to go grocery shopping and hit Wal-mart for the other necessities. I talked to bully after I was done with my shopping trips and she was surprised that I had gotten out of WINCO with only spending $111, and Walmart was only $35. Unfortunately, I had to call her later to let her know that I had to make a second trip to Walmart and spent ANOTHER $40!! LOL!! The even worse part is that I didn't even get everything that I needed, so now I'm going to have to go BACK!!

Okay, I need the good vibes from everyone.... I'm getting ready to go talk to my boss about the other position at work that I mentioned a few weeks ago. I really hope it works out because I feel like I need to be home with the family more. I enjoy my job tremendously, but the traveling is getting overwhelming. So, wish me luck!!

Gotta run... Have a great day!

Isn't the cost of food getting ridiculous? Yikes. I'd say you still got off easy even with the extra Walmart trip! Good luck on getting the new job. It will be good for you AND your family to have you closer to home more often. Have a good one!

Best to just shoot for the new position and don't share a word about any of your reasons why. We tend to place a lot of trust in our employers especially after we've been with them a while, trustint that they'll understand our needs. But it's really important to stay discreet and careful when it comes to talking about your motivations. Even if you say you just need more family time, that can send them a strange signal. You are cool, calm, relaxed, progressing in your career, and this is why you want this new position! Looking for new challenges!

Good Luck Kat! I hope your talk with your boss goes great, and that you can stay local for a while, or at least until things get straighted out! Prices are insane, aren't they! I'm sure prices must be cheaper out there than they are here....my hubby and I go to Costco in Boston...and we spend on average 145.00 each trip, and thats only for two people..then we go to the grocery store, and spend at least another 100...again...TWO. When we don't go to costco...then our weekly grocery runs up to $170. It makes you poor to eat so healthy, doesn't it! doesn't seem right =/

I hear ya on the prices!! My hubby and I were just discussing that today. We are camping and have had to make numerous trips to Walmart for our food and so forth and we are spending a bunch of money and I told him it's no different than if we were at home. It's rediculous!!! Good luck on your talk with your boss. My husband switched jobs to be home more for the family. Sometimes you just have to.
