We are having some days just around 100 as well. Northern California. And the utility company does shut down the power when fire danger is possible. Hasn't happened to me yet. I'll be inside for the next 4 days!

Yep. It's so hot: 1) the Chickens are laying powdered eggs 2) I saw a squirrel picking up nuts with a potholder 3) I saw the Devil in Walmart buying an air conditioner 4) Cows are giving powdered milk 5) I bought a loaf of bread and before I got it home, it was toast

LOL Cali is hot to me... the dry is very different. Humid feels hotter but dry seems harder to me. I cook dinner before the sun is up, wash big items and hang mostly on fence to dry. Then I sleep from 3-5 when it is hottest. And those blue water cooling towels... I am tempted to make me some Pajama's. not too sure about that hard dry paper feel thing tho... might be a lil uncomfortable once the water evaporates.

We get those notices in SE MI too - when we get temps in the 90s + our higher humidity, the a/c really has to churn! In early July, I was without a/c for 5 days with temps up to 88; on the day the repairs were finally done, my 1-year old refrigerator quit cooling. It took 3 days for it to resume cooling, those repair guys said it was caused by the humidity. TG the freezer still worked, plus I repurposed a wine cooler, so I was able to save most of my food!

It's been a sweat lodge in my computer room all summer, but the last couple of days have been ridiculous. So ready for Summer to bugger off.

That is so what it is like in Texas except I was the one with the water hose out here. My yard is dying so I got it good and muddy. I hear we are supposed to have a cold front in a few days and it will be in the 90s 😜

Upstate SC was sweltering and humid till the thunderstorms rolled in. This is my idea of "inside weather"!
