Diario de Cadence_15, 02 jul. 19

Hi!
I’d like to start off by saying, I had a different account, but my old phone broke and I didn’t have any of the accounts info so I had to start a new one. I started this journey out at 140lbs at 5’4”. I have been on FS for 6 months now and am down 21lbs. I feel better about myself, but I am trying to get
down a bit lower. I’ve been stuck the past month fluctuating about 1lb. Any advice on how to get out of a slump? I am doing pretty well with staying on track, some occasional cheat days. Thanks for reading!

Also, forgot to add I am a young teenager so my metabolism is pretty good

At 5'4" and 119 pounds, it may be that you have reached your ideal weight, which could be why you are having trouble losing more. If you are young, you may still be growing, and if that's so, your body needs good nutrition to stay healthy. Is There any adult you trust that you could talk to about this? A school counselor or nurse or trusted teacher? The trusted parent of a friend? There are many factors that determine your ideal weight. When I was a teenager I was 5'6" and weighed 130 and I was skinny, but I have a large-boned body frame. Your goal is to be a healthy weight. Good luck!

There’s been no one that I can trust with this, so I have never told anyone. 119 sounds like a good weight, but I still look fat, so I don’t know what else to do

Exercise is good! If you start young with core exercises (for abs) you will see a huge difference! You will look fit! Look up the different muscles and try to work them. You don't have to do too many and it does not take a lot of time. Work your way up to 30 of each but do it slowly so that your muscles are not so sore that you don't want to do it again. I am assuming that it is the area that is bothering you.

Normal weight for your height is 110 to 144, so you are on the mid to lower end right now. Getting down to 100 would be unhealthy for you. You are a growing girl, so be careful not to restrict what you eat too much. Concentrate on eating healthy foods in their most natural form; avoid foods from factories that come in packages. Stay away from sugary sweet foods. Get regular exercise. Feeling fat when you are not is maybe normal for a teenager, but please try to accept that you are normal, growing larger naturally. Don't let yourself be obsessed with negative body image thoughts; those thoughts can make you unhealthy all by themselves! Relax, enjoy healthy food and exercise.

I agree with erika that 100 pounds sounds like a very unhealthy weight for a person of your height. It's hard to tell how much people should weigh but being underweight does not look good. Wear clothes that fits and don't worry about the size and you will look really good.

I agree with Erika and Ireland-83 that 120lb is as low as you should go. any lower sounds VERY unhealthy.
