Haven't stopped in for a couple of days, so just a quick entry. Just got through making my next 3 flight arrangements. I found out that I am going to Alaska the first week of June. That should be pretty fun, as I have never been there before, in between all the work.

I'm really struggling with this weight loss and all this traveling. I try to make good eating choices, but boy is it hard when there is no real schedule! I finally get most of the week home next week, but then off again for the next two weeks. I'm gonna have to really think about this one and figure out what will work better for me. I'm thinking about trying fat smash. My sister did it and dropped a bunch of weight really fast, but I haven't had a chance to check it out and see if it will work for me. We'll see....

All right, off to work. Have a great weekend everyone!! :)

Heya sis... you might consider a walk on the Beach, the South Beach, that is. :) It's a disciplined first two weeks, but after that, it's really very doable. I think you would enjoy it, as it's really very healthy eating and once you get into the swing of it, well.. I think you would like it. :) Alaska sounds FUN! Watch out for them bears...sheesh, they skeer me! lol :) xoxo lylas OH... for traveling... I would say you'd have to be the master planner for packing snacks ahead of time to bring with to eat well. =S Not easy, but if anyone can do, girly... YOU CAN!! (hugs)

You sound like you have a super chaotic travel life! Traveling is difficult on the body no matter what…and to try and diet at the same time…definitely some added stress. Like Bullytrouble says, you would need to be a master planner! Planning is half the battle. Maybe try and take this in baby steps right now. Pick up some FiberOne Bars (2 points each), pack some fruit (apples, oranges), think of things that travel well…maybe the instant oatmeal packets. Make a sort of "survival guide away from home". I'm not sure how long you stay away when you travel, but start making it a requirement that you have a small refrigerator in your room, so you can stock it with fruit, healthy snacks, bottled water….things that will help you from being famished and needing to eat the first thing that comes along. Good luck!

Cheeks, thanks for your advice. I pretty much do all that-- fiber one, fruit, fridge in the room, microwave for my 94% fat free popcorn. I think I just need to not be quite so hard on myself, too. Bully, I will look into South Beach, also. I'm just getting frustrated after doing so well at first (dropped 25 pounds fairly quick) but now the going is so slow! Thanks for the support!

It's normal for the weight loss to slow down the closer you get to your goal. And you do have some extra challenges thrown your way with all of your travel requirements. But you seem to have lots of strategies worked out so I am sure you will do fine. It may take you a longer time to lose the rest of the weight but this is a lifestyle so it's not like you are just biding your time, waiting to go back to your "old ways". You're changing your habits for life and that will not only get you to your goal, it will keep you there!

Agreed w/evelyn64, the top lbs drop like a hot potato, but slow to the speed of a snail after that. Good thing no one ever told us it was easy, huh?? lol ;) You'll find one that'll work for ya. Hey, call me if you want to inquire about the beach more. Been doing it since about Sept last year. xoxo Be safe!

I know traveling is a struggle but try to look at it as having more potions! You have a whole menu to chose from and you can explore the local markets maybe? I love eating out now, it's like, Shrimp and veggies...you're mine! Steak and steamed broccoli...mmmmmmmm. You can make it work. Do some creative planning, hang in there and be the example! Go get 'em!

some more suggestions to help you with the traveling. My husband just left for a week in Colorado.Bbefore he left, he did a search online to see what the hotel had, and also searched to see where the closest grocery store was, so he could swing in and pick up a few other extra things. He also searched to see what the closest restaurants were to the hotel...and he's excited to see that they had an Applebees, which will help him be good with the WW menu there. He just called me, and so far he's making good choices at the buffets they are having for his meeting. They had a fajita buffet, but he just chose the chicken, veggies, a cup of rice and a tiny bit of avocado. They are heading to Outback Steakhouse for group dinner...he's already looking forward to some shrimp. We'll see how the rest of the week goes! Keep up the great work! =)
