The lights were FANTASTIC!!!! a bunch of new displays.we have fun picking the ones we didnt see the year before.All the grandbabies loved it.well the month old didnt care.
then we went for pizza.my dh had to keep with tradition.i ate too much.work it off today.i like to think that when me and old grandpa are gone my kids and grandkids will carry on this beloved tradition.

If you and grandpa love it and the grandkids see that enthusiasm in you, they will cherish those memories and continue the tradition. Maybe not the same park all their lives, but I bet they will find their own light displays to visit and feel close to grandma and grandpa when they are doing it! :-) Just like me making bread pudding every Christmas morning for breakfast, my mom LOVED it, and it makes me feel close to her when I sit down with a bowl of bread pudding! I've changed the recipe over the years, but the tradition of having it on Christmas morning is still part of my traditions! :)

Just getting caught up on FS as I've been busy with my 2 boys being home from college. Love your light viewing tradition! That's what the holidays should be about -- spending time together! Happy Holidays!
