Whew--- got home Saturday night to a husband who was feeling very neglected :). What a shock to go from the beautiful sunny, 70+ degree weather in Sacramento, to the freezing, gloomy 40- degrees in Portland! We took the kids out to Mexican, where we had margaritas (uh-oh, two days in a row)-- he had two, me only one. Finally got home around 10 for some alone time-- it sure is nice that the kids are old enough now not to have to worry about getting them to bed or having them bother us once we're ready to settle down!

Yesterday, had to be up earlier than our normal Sunday routine. We are renting the house we live in, and the owners have decided to put it up for sale, so it was being shown yesterday and we had to make sure it was "showable", then we let the kids talk us into Krispy Kremes on the way to bowling. My small victory -- I did not eat even ONE doughnut!! My husband is being so good, though-- he know that I had not eaten before we left the house, so he stopped at Walmart and made me go in and get a banana and a string cheese so that I would have something. After bowling for 2 and a half hours, went back to Walmart to do our shopping, then a semi healthy Subway lunch, after which we took the kids home so that we could go to Winco and do our grocery shopping for the week. While my husband was tinkering on the cars a little, I did some yardwork-- which I have to say, is something that I hate! I am not the typical northwesterner-- not big in the gardening and yardwork category, but will do it when I have to! My sister came over with her 3 kids for a while-- she just got their pictures done and brought them over for me to pick mine out :). Hubby and I did some more running around then finally came home to make "dinner"-- he decided he wanted breakfast for dinner, so we had french toast, hashbrowns, bacon and sausage.

Today, I have already taken both the girls to school, have to get my son up and ready for an eye doctor appointment, make a doctor appointment for my hubby, go to my WW meeting, then it will be almost time to start picking everyone up from school. Have to take my 15 year old for her first driving lesson with driver's ed at 4:30-- I'm going to ride along. Not looking forward to my weigh-in since my home scale says I have not dropped anything:( I am bummed about that because I felt like I had a good week, but I'm thinking now that what I need to do is ramp up the activity, so I'm going to get a couple of workout DVD's so that I have some variety, and go for it this week! I'll let you all know how it turns out!

Way to go avoiding the doughnuts! I find I don't care for Krispy Kream doughnuts anymore as they have the same effect as McDonald's french fries... they coat the inside of my mouth with a layer of grease! Very unappetizing! Exercise is a big help in getting the scale to move and, if you make it a habit now, it will go a long way to helping you maintain once you reach your goal. Well worth the effort! Good luck with your WW weigh in!

Sounds like you had a victorious week! I'd venture to guess that you have more of a water situation, rather than a "true no loss" week. After mexican, food with friends, and the breakfast dinner, I'll bet that you can flush a lot of the hidden sodium out with a good day of drinking lots of water and eating "low" today!! btw... hubby and are getting a kid free weekend next weekend, so we'll take a drive out to the cabin, at least to check it out and then make plans to go out Sat. night! :) Hey, are ya sure you can't just come up here and babysit for me for the afternoon??? lol =D Sure is nice having you on here too! Thanks for your comments. xoxo lylas

Wow, you are a busy gal!!! You did great on your choices, I think. And having a couple of DVDs that you can take with you when you travel will really help you a lot. A couple that I like are Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds Express, and the 10 Minute Solution Pilates. Keeping it simple keeps me on track!
