Diario de Lotus, 22 mar. 08

Oh, you guys, I'm scared about tommorow!
It is always hard being around the potluck food pushers. I still haven't lost any weight since the last time I gave into temptation, no way can I eat a lot! I actually pretty much can't eat anything there. There will be brisket, potato salad, buttered rolls, baked beans, and other fattening things. The one weakness I have is desserts, particualrly the ones I make! ANd I am making a yummy fruit pizza with a sugar cookie crust, cream cheese topping and kiwi, raspberries, strawberries, mandarin oranges. My plan is to eat a high fiber cereal breakfast, and a high protein lunch of egg whites and fat free cheese, saving some fat grams for a small peice of that pizza.I also am going to eat some cottage cheese moments before we leave, if I am hungry or not, as it is such good protein and I know it will last. The potluck starts at 2:30, if I waited to eat until then I would eat everything. I will bring raw brocolli, gum, sugar free hard candy, water bottles and Diet coke to keep my munchies in check. I got through the whole holiday season barely cheating, I can do it again. Nothing they are making is spectactular or unique anyway. A storebought brisket is no big temptation, or shouldn't be. It will be a slightly different story when I smell it though..rrr. And I love baked beans, but they are high in calories. I just have to get through tommorow afternoon, and I can have a fat free ice cream sundae when I get home. I can't take another post cheat guilt-fest right now! I will get through tommorow. I absolutely will. I really don't even want to take tiny bites of things. It just makes it harder the longer we are there.
Wish me luck..i may need it.

You can do it! Before you take a bite of anything, ask yourself if it is worth the calories! You are doing great by planning ahead.
