Who would ever expect that a hurricane that travelled over land almost 900 miles would still be strong enough to topple trees and cause torrential rains! It blew through here overnight and we lost power, which fortunately has been restored. Life resumes. Last night our dinner guests brought. . .wait for it. . .homemade French bread. I basically do not eat bread. I ate the bread. Did not weigh this morning, since we had no power and I wouldn't have been able to see the number. (Ha, ha. Oh, the games we play.)
