Diario de BadAndee, 28 feb. 08

I must have pulled a muscle in my shoulder/neck last night during workout! I woke up this morning hardly able to move! Well, at least you all know I've been working hard!
Lately, I've had a big load of physical activity. I'm pretty excited about that because I'm hoping I'll drop some pounds and reach my goal for the first time in ages! Even though we've had lots of little weight goals along the way, my biggest goal date is about to approach in 11 days. I'd like to move the scale numbers and hit my personal goal.
It's pretty amazing how 1 or 2 pounds on a SHORT person can make or break you! LOL

I didn't want to say anything before in case I jinxed myself, but I've pretty much backed away from peanut butter. I don't crave it anymore like I used to, either. Most of you know me by now, and realize THAT is a huge milestone for me! I think part of the problem is that it makes a wonderful snack food item, and it cures sugar/candy cravings. I found a substitute in those 45 calorie iced coffees, I think! Still, I don't want to create a NEW monster for myself, so I limit myself to no more than 2 a day.

I can see that my son is big on lifting weights in the gym. Most of the 'extra' things he's having me do, consists of push-ups and leg lifts on the weight machine. For 10 minutes, I was 'instructed' to walk on the eliptical a certain way that really burns the butt and back of thighs...just trying to get thru that workout made me bust out in sweat! Still, I like the fact that he's in charge. I'm doing things that I normally wouldn't do.

On a really happy note, i'm bowling so well lately! I have lessons 3 X a week and 1 day of league with practice on my own. I'm in the middle of fine-tuning my ball swing, which has really improved my approach timing. It's tons of fun and lots of exercise...so it's all good, right?! Anyway, it's perfect timing for the tournament coming up this weekend. I might actually make the cut this Saturday!!

You know what I love about you all the most? I can talk about all that boring stuff up there, and you'll ACTUALLY LISTEN AND RESPOND! By now, any of my 'reality' friends would have fallen asleep by now!! They'd wonder where on earth BAD ANDEE took off to?! LOL

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...lol..sounds like your workin new muscles and thats great..but not good if you pulled one..sounds like your sons got new moves to show you to get that body into shape..thats great..new workouts, to make that body work differnet muscles..you will get them few pounds off..im sure..

Oh no,, Another shoulder bites the dust! Great about the peanut butter, I hope I can get there (Im working on it). You really are an inspiration! Can't believe how much exercize everyone seems to be getting in lately!

LOL! I want to know how you can walk on the elliptical a "certain way" besides forward and backward -- Let us know! I once bought an exercise tape for the treadmill which would ask me to walk sideways, backwards, grapevine etc. i nearly killed myself!! Anyway great job on the bowling, good luck for saturday and keep up the great motivation! And we do love you, your stories and your sunny disposition! xoxox have a great day!! PDTL

LOL!! Another shoulder bites the dust! Good one, Janelle!! the 'certain way' of walking on the eliptical, is to put your feet as far back on the pedals as possible, then straighten your back by leaning forward and ducking your head (making your back a flat table) and then pedal! fast! you'll feel it in your butt and back of thighs! My son tells me it's not painful, it feels good! Interesting way of looking at it!! LOL. AND YOU THOUGHT MY DISPOSITION WAS SUNNY!!

You really are getting LOTS of exercise. I'd really be surprised if you didn't lose the lbs. you want to lose! It really helps having a trainer. He'll push you farther than you might push yourself. By the way, your journals are NEVER boring. I look forward to reading them! :)

Oh! So sorry about your shoulder. I hope it doesn't interfere with bowling. Sounds like your son is relly working you hard. Good luck this weekend.
