Good day AM walk in the hills, an hour of hitting golf balls at the rang for the first time in 20 years thanks to a friend who kept asking me to go with him and make Japanese Curry and rice w/pickled ginger for dinner (chicken)

Japanese curry is hands down the better of the curries! I use those S&B brand curry blocks. Uuuuug now I need curry 🍛 🍛 🍛

If you Google it, there are many variations . I use 1/ curry powder and 1/2 Garam Masala.
A table spoon of Marmalade will sweeten it. That or Japanese Bulldog sauce in the curry or on top when serving
It should include a chopped apple. And, I soften the taste with 1/2 can of coconut milk/cream.
Either pickle ginger (red julienne is best), picked Daikon or picked eggplant (Kyoto style) is served on top at the table.
have fun!! The average Japanese family has this dish once a week. Cheap and popular.

If you make it from scratch you eliminate the MSG in the store brands like S&B/Vermont

I do Indian curry and I love it. It is very exotic. I use honey instead. Your toppings sound amazing.
